Our classes

At Katoomba Clay, each term runs in a 8 week sequence, with each weekly class building on the previous week's skills and knowledge with time spent at the wheel each week.

We offer 9 classes each week (from which you will select one).

Classes are 2 hours long and students will be taught the wedging techniques of hand building, wheel throwing, trimming, glazing and firing.

Cost

Each 8 week/16 hour term costs $380 which includes all clay, potting tools and glazes. Fees are due prior to the start of the semester and are non-refundable.

Should you wish to bring a piece home, finished, glazed pottery will be charged a fixed rate of $13-15 per kilogram depending on clay used.

Firing services are also offered for pottery created outside of the studio.
